If I unplug my Mac from a screen, the windows are so large that I can't reach the top of them and move it within the borders of the screen.
At this point I doubt I’ll ever finish the third season of Succession. The story has stalled, and the only thing on the horizon is the inevitable cliffhanger.
Also, there's no keyboard shortcut for maximizing. You can sort of add one, but it isn't easy and doesn't look stable. You can use fullscreen, but then you get a lot of new issues like animations, tabbing between full-screen windows and non-full-screen windows and a whole lot of desktops.
Turns out I could find the keyboard settings by searching for the correct translated term. Unlike Gnome, it won't match for English words nor for synonyms. You need the specific, translated term. Which isn't what you find if you Google an issue. It will be in English.
And also also: When I want to change keyboard shortcuts, hit cmd+space and type "keyboard", it suggests "keyboard shorcuts" - but that is an app for Kahoot!
Also - why do apps steal focus when they start. I open an app while continuing to work somewhere else, and then mid-sentence focus is stolen and nothing happens.
Once again I'm trying to use a mac. And every single time I try to @ someone in Slack, I’ll use the keykombo from PC and change to the second workspace. The same happens in browsers where I jump to the second tab.
Twitter is broken. I can’t even click on links anymore.
Having a task that you kinda don't want to do, is a great way to get a lot of other things done!
Async communication, urgency level and use of tools. Is figuring this out the clue to remote work?
I'm back in the open landscape and feel like shouting "would be really nice if everyone could mute their mics". But I won't. I'm not that passive-aggressive. Yet.
And now I've got an empowerment email from an automated system wanting me to think about my goals and how to reach them. This is not the day for that. This is a day for coping.
Got my second shot yesterday. Must have been a blast, for I am absolutely hung over.
Spent too much time yesterday doing tiny tweaks to score 100 on Google Pagespeed insights. Stupid, effective gamification.
You kinda end up thinking, "if this is the future, do I want to be a part of building it?"
I can sneeze again!
